Accommodation & Taxis
There are only 12 bedrooms at Cubley Hall, which will be occupied by the wedding party and immediate relatives.
There are various hotels nearby to suit different budgets but after analysing the details we would recommend staying at the Premier Travel Inn for your convenience.
Premier
Travel Inn (6miles away) – S75

£49 per room plus breakfast
Even though this is slightly further on paper than some of the other hotels,
it is clearly visible from the A61 when you leave the M1 on the way to Cubley
Hall, so may be much more convenient for most people travelling from the North
or South. Standard check-in time is at 2 pm but there is an option to choose
an early check-in for an extra £15. I was advised that when people who know each
other book in group, they tend to pay the extra £15 for one room so that everyone
can drop their bags off and freshen up, then come back later and move their bags
to their own room.
There is also a 24hr concierge, so guests are free to check in as late as they like… even steaming drunk at 2 am!
If you would prefer not to stay at the Premier Travel Inn there are plenty of other options nearby. Please note that most hotels have a standard check in time of 2 pm, so I would suggest mentioning this at the time of booking to see if they will let you check in early if you would like to drop off your things before the wedding.
The Old Vicarage (0.74 miles away) – S36 6DY – 01226 370607
Converted guesthouse with rooms rates varying from £25-£55. It is the closest
place to Cubley Hall (“within staggering distance”!) but looks very basic.

This is owned by the same company as Cubley Hall, and so I have negotiated a
discounted rate for our guests. Their standard double bedroom is usually £90
but this will be reduced to £75 if you mention you are attending our wedding
at the time of booking. We have been there and it looks lovely but is almost
20mins drive from Cubley Hall.
Travel
As Cubley Hall is fairly remote, we thought it might be easier for everyone staying at the Premier Travel Inn to share a minibus back to the hotel at the end of the night instead of having to bother booking separate taxis. It will probably cost about £3 per person. We are happy to arrange this – just let us know if you would like to share a minibus so that we have an idea of numbers.
